Forms New Government Relations Entity for MEA Region and Appoints GCC Nationals as Government Relations Managers for Gulf and KSA

In January this year, 3M announced the creation of a new Government Relations Organization for the Middle East and Africa region, led by Walid Sowaidan, Area Director – Government Relations, MEA. The company has also recently announced the appointment of two GCC Nationals to act as General Managers of Government Relations for 3M Gulf and 3M Saudi Arabia, respectively.

“The government sector is one of the most important segments for 3M’s businesses both globally and regionally,” said Ippocratis Vrohidis, Area Vice President, Middle East and Africa at 3M. “Throughout the years, we have managed to help governments across the world find innovative solutions to problems they faced and consequently increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the services they offer to their citizens. The newly appointed Government Relations team will lead the expansion of 3M’s government business in the Middle East and Africa region by leveraging the diversity and globally proven effectiveness and performance of 3M’s innovative solutions. Furthermore, they will be responsible for identifying key infrastructure and civic priorities of regional governments and develop effective strategies to help them achieve their respective goals.

Bader Abdulla Hareb Al Falahi – an Emirati National – will act as General Manager, Government Relations for 3M Gulf Ltd, and Mansour Aljuaid – a Saudi National – as General Manager, Government Relations for 3M Saudi Arabia.
