Under the patronage of Sheikh Theyab Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Al Ain Rotana and in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent and Mediclinic, hosted the Eighth Walkathon for Children with Cancer on Friday 16th March 2018.

 

Over 700 people, adults and kids, attended the eighth event and walked together for this noble cause. The programme included warm-ups, free medical check-ups, walk from and to Al Ain Rotana hotel while going around the Jahili Park, and a closing ceremony with refreshments thanking all participants.

 

Mr. Armin Weller, the Executive Assistant Manager of Al Ain Rotana said: “We started our first walkathon in 2011 to support Mennatallah the little girl who was battling cancer along with other kids at Tawam Hospital. We carried this cause for eight years and we will keep on doing so to serve our community and the kids in need. With the help of Sheikh Theyab Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan and the companies who support us in this worthwhile activity, we hope to always top the earlier walkathons’ tremendous achievements. Nothing is more fulfilling than seeing a smile on the face of these little angels”, Mr. Weller concluded.
