The Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad has approved the executive bylaw for electronic publication of all kinds and forms, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported Thursday.

The executive bylaw comprises 17 articles specifying mechanisms for electronic publication activities of all kinds and classifications as well as the methods for obtaining appropriate licenses for the required activity.

The articles of the bylaw describe all kinds of electronic publication that can be licensed or registered and the conditions that must be fulfilled for licensing.

Those willing to obtain licenses can register at the pertinent administration via the ministry’s website and meet the conditions mentioned in the executive bylaw.

Dr. Al-Awwad valued the role being carried out by the newspapers, websites and news accounts in highlighting the real image of the Kingdom and the effective development it is witnessing, in line with the national strategies of Kingdom’s Vision 2030 that achieves comprehensive development in Saudi Arabia.
