Barclays Named ‘best Private Bank’ in Two Categories at the 2017 Gcc Wealthbriefing Awards

Barclays has earned two Best Private Bank accolades at the WealthBriefing GCC Awards 2017, emphasizing the bank’s continuous commitment to delivering expert, tailored services across the regional and international private banking sector. Barclays landed the Best UAE Private Bank award in the international category, alongside Best Private Bank in the GCC within the Investment Management Platform category.

The WealthBriefing awards celebrate the leading private banks currently serving the GCC market, and comprise a distinguished panel of independent jury members. As a result, the awards are considered one of the most prestigious in the region’s financial sector.

Commenting on the regional recognition, Francesco Grosoli, Barclays' Head of the Private Bank for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), said: “We’re delighted to be recognised once again by the WealthBriefing awards with two accolades that celebrate our position at the top of the private banking sector and underline our investment expertise.”

He added: “This year’s award also points to a strong demand for our differentiated services among High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals. In this area we’re focused on providing bespoke solutions specifically tailored to our clients’ future objectives while taking into consideration their risk profile and financial personality.”

The WealthBriefing judging panel awarded the UAE Best Private Bank accolade based on Barclays’ strengths in a number of key areas. These include the high level of client service, Barclays’ bespoke advisory services, and the Private Bank’s open architecture platform that offers a full range of tailored products covering investments and credit.

Organised by ClearView Publishing and hosted in Dubai, the WealthBriefing GCC Awards and its expert panel judge banks based on their financial insights across three criteria: those that are independent, genuine, and display integrity. The awards also recognise companies, teams and individuals across the same criteria.
