Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation (SWSF) has unveiled its new slogan: ‘Because you're undefeated.’ The tagline has been created to reflect the organisation’s mission to motivate Emirati women and to highlight their abilities and capacities in all fields, with a particular focus on sports.

Articulating SWSF’s firm belief in the vital role of women, both in the community and the sporting arena, the organisation’s new tagline has been designed to encapsulate women’s potential and their ability to overcome the hardest of obstacles with confidence. It was created to draw attention to their ability to compete, challenge and achieve victories in prestigious sports competitions, both locally and regionally.

SWSF’s strategy aligns with the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and Chairperson of SWSF. It aims to raise community awareness about the importance of women's sports and to enhance an environment conducive for women that allows for the development of specialised human resources. SWSF strives to develop administrative regulations that pave the way for the creation of a women-friendly climate in compliance with the latest international practices related to women’s sports.

HE Nada Askar Al Naqbi, Director General of SWSF, underlined the foundation’s keenness and willingness to provide all forms of support, care and attention for women’s sports, saying: "The Emirate of Sharjah has achieved impressive results in the field of women's sports thanks to the immense support extended by our wise leadership. Today, Sharjah has become established as a destination that attracts many important sporting events on the local and regional levels, particularly after consecutive successes achieved in various tournaments held in the emirate, as well as in those hosted abroad.”

Noting that the new slogan represents the spirit of feminist work in all fields, Al Naqbi added: “The efforts made by the foundation are not separate from the Emirate of Sharjah’s overall endeavours to develop and uplift women's capacities at all levels. Therefore we have adopted a slogan that carries an essential message that reflects our core strategy for empowering women. The tagline aims to reaffirm women’s indefatigable nature - especially within the UAE’s sporting arena.”

SWSF was established in November 2016 under an Emiri decree by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. The foundation enjoys administrative and financial independence and full legal competence necessary to pursue its objectives. SWSF is chaired by Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness Ruler of Sharjah, aided by an advisory committee comprising highly experienced and competent members who have a vast degree of knowledge in the field.
