The Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa opens its kitchen for cooking enthusiasts and amateur chefs to showcase their skills and passion for cooking in a professional kitchen.

 

The 9th Grandma’s Recipe Competition returns at the award winning fine dining restaurant; Mumtaz Mahal Indian Specialty Restaurant on 3rd of November. Cooking enthusiasts are invited to enter the competition by sending their recipes until 25th of October. The Hotel will then shortlist 10 finalists to compete on 3rd of November based on the ingenuity of the recipe’s they have submitted.

 

Habib Khan, General Manager of the Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa explains; “This event has become extremely popular in the culinary community and household alike. Last year we received overwhelming entries out of which ten finalists were selected. One of the main reasons behind hosting this contest is to offer a professional platform to young and amateur cooks among who are “Chefs in the making”; and mostly individuals who simply enjoy culinary passionately, we like to give them their first break at achieving their dreams.”

 

The contestants will be provided with the main ingredients of their dish and the kitchen to prepare their recipe. On completion; the dishes will be tasted and graded by the esteemed judges; who will score them on the taste, display and overall creativity of the final dish. The Judges include Tehzeeb Huda of The Tezzy Files food blogger and Rakesh Puri famous Food Blogger.

 

The Winner will receive gifts from our gift sponsors, which includes Rivoli Eye Zone. The first prize winner will receive AED3000 and the second prize and third prize winner will each receive AED400.
