JEAN-GEORGES DUBAI RECOGNIZED AT THE 2016 FOOD & TRAVEL GCC TOURISM AWARDS

Jean-Georges Dubai is delighted to announce that Daniel Everts has won Breakthrough Chef of the Year at the 2016 Food & Travel GCC Tourism Awards. The formal ceremony was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel Bahrain under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Zayed R. Alzayani, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism.

Originally from Stockholm Sweden, Daniel Everts began his culinary career at a young age when he began working for the Michelin starred restaurant, Lejontornet at only 15. In the years to follow, Everts moved to the UK to learn from the multi-Michelin starred chef, Gordon Ramsay, before returning to Stockholm where he became the head chef of ten years at the acclaimed Fredsgatan 12. It was here Daniel met Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who later invited him to be the Chef De Cuisine at his first UAE restaurant, Jean Georges Dubai.

Jean-Georges Vongerichten is a three star Michelin chef who has retained his stars for 11 years. He currently owns and operates 30 restaurants in 10 cities worldwide, including New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Bahamas, Shanghai, Paris, St Barths, Tokyo and Los Cabos. His signature restaurants are located in New York where he is based, Dubai and Tokyo.

In Jean-Georges Dubai, Jean-Georges’ vision is reflected in two distinct spaces housed under one roof; JG Dining Room, a fine dining venue and JG Kitchen, a relaxed all day restaurant. Representing a partnership with the GFD Group, a hospitality company that is redefining the art of dining in the Emirates, JG Dubai enjoys a prestigious venue at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai, at Jumeirah Beach.
