SmartThinQ Hub serves as the backbone for intelligent urbanism in tomorrow’s smart home

 The future home is about smart living whereby technology allows daily household functions to be carried out by appliances through more automation. And with more and more devices connecting to the internet, there becomes a need for a centralized ecosystem that controls all functions to make homes truly smart. The LG SmartThinQ Hub is the future home gateway to consumer-centric connectivity, well-being, and a high standard of living.

The elegantly designed SmartThinQ Hub includes a 3.5-inch color LCD display and connects to a smartphone app to facilitate two-way communication with smart appliances and smart sensors in the home.

The SmartThinQ Hub expands LG’s SmartThinQ platform to monitor and control home appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, robotic vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and a variety of sensors. The SmartThinQ Hub plays a central role in LG’s smart home platform by collecting information from smart appliances as well as conventional devices connected to SmartThinQ sensors via Wi-Fi, Zigbee and Bluetooth. Data is displayed in the form of notifications on the LCD screen or announced through its embedded speaker, acting as the central “hub” of the smart home.

Home of the Future

While we have no way of knowing for sure, we can take an educated guess by looking at some of today’s products which take their cues from current and past trends. The LG SIGNATURE line of home appliances is a good example of what the future might hold.

As the world’s leading front-loading washing machine brand, LG has the credentials to back up its predictions.
