Lughati Enriches ‘Kids Got Talent’ Festival with Packed Learning Programme

‘Lughati,’ the smart learning initiative that aims to support the studying of Arabic in Sharjah schools using modern technology, has concluded its participation at the second edition of the ‘Kids Got Talent’ Festival. Organised by Sharjah Discovery Centre and hosted from October 10-14, the festival was aimed at discovering the talents and abilities of children and developing their spirit of innovation and scientific research.

 

Lughati’s participation in the event introduced the attending children to the smart methods it embraces to teach Arabic and to encourage them to use the language in every aspect of their lives, thereby drawing them closer to their identity and culture. During the five-day event, the initiative presided over a packed learning programme featuring training workshops, reading sessions and interactive technology-themed activities.  

 

“Our participation in the ‘Kids Got Talent’ festival was in recognition of its importance as a major educational event and one that offers children an interactive platform that encourages them to develop their scientific knowledge, innovation and creativity. Lughati was the perfect fit for the event as it seeks to inspire young children to learn their native language and to strengthen their attachment to it using modern methods to learn Arabic in a fun and engaging manner,” said Badria Al Ali, Manager of Lughati initiative.

 

“We made the best use of our participation in the festival by running a comprehensive programme of activities over its five days. The festival gave us a great opportunity to meet a large number of children and their parents and to show them all the benefits of Lughati initiative, including its future plans and goals,” she added.

 

The participating children enjoyed the workshops and activities conducted by Lughati during the Kids Got Talent festival. They engaged in reading stories from the ‘Big Book’ released by Horouf, a subsidiary of Kalimat Publishing Group, which promoted a number of important values. The children also got to experience Lughati’s most recent digital innovation – ‘Electro Lughati’ – a game that combines Arabic learning with play.

 

At the close of the festival, Lughati distributed a range of gifts among children who had taken part in its activities.
