Providing 9.2 million pilgrims with a cool and comfortable atmosphere

In what is expected to be one of the hottest seasons of Hajj with the highest number of pilgrims compared to previous years, the concerned authorities are gearing up with preparations to serve the pilgrims and the visitors of the two Holy Mosques. Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) has completed all the preparations for Hajj this year (1438H) and is looking to provide the best possible services to visitors of the Holy Sites. The company has put all procedures related to the implementation of operations and strategic plans for preventive and emergency maintenance in place, to ensure pilgrims perform their rituals in comfort.

Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) is proud to serve pilgrims, right from the time they arrive into the Kingdom until their departure. Being a pioneer in cooling and maintenance of the most famous landmarks in the two holy cities, Al Salem Johnson Controls has the world's second largest cooling station at the Holy Mosque of Makkah and one of the largest cooling stations in the world at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, this in addition to the cooling and ventilation of Zamzam station. Al Salem Johnson Controls also provides cooling and ventilation services to the Mina tents, police stations at Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, Mina Hospital, and the Hajj terminal at King Abdulaziz international Airport. In addition to providing cooling, ventilation, and maintenance services for many renowned hotels in Makkah, including the hotels of King Abdul Aziz Endowment (clock tower), Dar Altawheed Intercontinental, and Makkah Hilton hotel among many others.

 

The company extended its expertise and services over the years, given its technical capability, world-class equipment, and operational expertise. The current Hajj season coincides with the peak of summer, which makes it one of the hottest seasons in the last 25 years. The Makkah region is expected to have temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius. The maintenance team of Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) oversees the operations of all projects in Makkah with minimal costs and delays, while efficiently operating, and maintaining more than 250 thousand tons of cooling and ventilation equipment and solutions for the Al-Haramain (the Two Holy Monsques) and adjacent areas (enough to cool 25 thousand medium-sized apartments).
