Sharjah Ladies Club to organise 'Garden of Adventures' camp for children and young adults

Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) is organising a 12-day ‘Garden of Adventures’ spring camp to entertain children and young adults as they enjoy their spring break in a fun-filled, activity-packed atmosphere.

The camp, which runs from March 26 - April 6, 2017, will feature four entertainment and awareness events, giving the participants –aged from 3 - 17 years old, not only the chance to have fun, but also to challenge themselves physically and mentally.

Targetting three different age groups, the camp will include a spectrum of cultural, artistic and sports activities to be held from 8am - 2pm, from Sunday to Thursday.

The first event will take place at SLC's Basateen Pre-School Centre and Collage Talent Centre for children aged 3 - 5 years old, who will be treated to 'Basateen Adventures', and 'Little Talents', featuring a series of sporting and music activities as well as excursions designed for them to learn about the beauty of nature. Children will also take part in the ‘Little Chef’, an activity tailored to test their culinary skills.

Duaa Al Mahri,  Head Of Corporate Communications said: "The spring camp provides an excellent chance for children and youngsters to gain new skills and make use of their free time with their favourite hobbies within a safe, yet fun-filled environment. It also gives an opportunity to learn new artistic, sporting and craft skills, which broaden their horizons and give them a window into a wider range of skill sets,” she added.

Collage Talent Center will host 'Art Unlimited', which aims to unlock the potential artistic talents of girls aged 6 - 12 years using acrylic paints and pastel colours and decoration, as well as other crafts such as pottery and sewing.

SLC's Sports Complex will host the 'Sporty Fun' event that aims to encourage girls aged 5 - 13 years, and boys aged 5 - 9 years, to participate in various sports such as swimming, aerobics, soccer and tennis, in addition to a number of beach activities.

 

Other activities include the 'Youth Spring' event taking place at the Collage Talent Center and Sports Complex for girls aged 13 - 17 years, who will take part in learning a number of new talents, including culinary skills, beauty care and physical fitness.
