wasl Asset Management, one of the largest real estate management companies in Dubai, has fulfilled implementing the programme of activities under its agreement with the American University in Dubai (AUD). Three high school graduates were chosen by wasl this year to benefit from this ongoing programme which completes the ten seats that the organisation agreed upon with the university. Moreover, wasl announced it has hired four graduates in different departments based on their university majors.

 

wasl's MoU with AUD was signed in 2008 to provide ten of high school graduates to pursue university studies at AUD’s faculties. The agreement covers all tuition fees for students enrolled in its four-year courses which comes as part of its social responsibility in support of the educational sector of the Emirate.  

 

“wasl is keen to support education through several leading initiatives directed to this sector and contributing towards qualifying local talents. Our programme is carried out in order to support a knowledge-based UAE economy which goes in line with Dubai Government’s plans and to stimulate youngsters to acquire the highest levels of knowledge. Our scholarship programme ensures that we will achieve many of our corporate goals including helping young adults in the UAE to effectively break into the marketplace, as well as equipping them with the confidence and ability to drive the country’s economy forward.” said Abdul Rahman Ghareeb, Head Of Human Resources at wasl.

 

To ensure success for the initiative, the scholarships are awarded based on student merit and a proven track record with a score of at least 85 percent in high school then after passing the selection interview, candidates must meet AUD admission requirements.

 

wasl also works together with students to pursue their academics once they enrol and the organization also provides them with the necessary support and direction to effectively and deservedly obtain their desired qualifications. Moreover, the organization will award the students who achieve high grades with cash prizes.
