Dubai Shopping Festival Is Out On The Streets This 2010

This year the DSF surprised residents and One World Travel tourists both, when it was officially opened with fireworks on the streets of Dubai.
Unlike the usual scenario, the Dubai Shopping Festival or DSF 2010 started with a burst of colours in the form of fireworks in the dark skies. More than the fireworks and other attractions in Dubai, tourists on a Dubai tour with One World Travels were amazed by watching and hearing the sights and sound of enthralled crowds gathered on the 28th of January 2010. They were to celebrate the opening of the DSF on the streets that night.
The DSF 2010 festivities have been spread across four prominent locations in Dubai – Al Rigga, Al Seef, Al Diyfah and the Walk JBR. The Al Rigga street comprises fun fairs with rides while the Al Diyfah street has been decorated beautifully with stunning lights. Each street has a unique theme reflecting the aspects of DSF.
People gathered in alarmingly large numbers and the fireworks were indeed glorious, as described by One World Travel tourist Kathy Peters. ‘Al Seef Street was full and there was nothing that could depict the intensity of the DSF entertainment, activities and shopping discounts than the display of guerilla fireworks’ she said. The DSF 2010 wanted to actively involve each and everyone in its happiness, including the residents of Dubai; thus the idea.
