Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel-apartment among tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, successfully completed the “FIT and FAB” program for all their employees which aims to promote the employees’ health and wellness that resulted in a happier and more productive working environment. 

 

The programs included a four-week fitness training conducted in the Hotel’s gym where a weigh-in was held every week at the Health Club. The training ended in a final weigh-in which declared the employees who ranked as top three winners.    

Al Bustan Centre & Residence’s “Fit and Fab” program provided strategic advantages for both the company and employees. By conducting these programs the company was able to build self confidence in employees, make them more conscious of their well-being, and put high regard on the importance of doing physical activities to one’s health. They also had a chance to develop a sense of camaraderie among co-workers.

The activity was spearheaded by Liza Ortiz, Director of Human Resources, Al Bustan Centre & Residence. After a month long sweat and beating the gym, the winners were announced at the Monthly Celebrations where Engineering Department was hailed as the winning team with a total weight loss of 6.9%.  

 

 

The individual winners were: Tushara Sampath from Engineering Department with weight loss of 12.3% who took the 1st place, 2nd place by Manikanta Reddy from Housekeeping with 11.9% weight loss and 3rd place taken by Raymond Burayag from Human Resources having 10.9% weight loss.   A trophy, certificate and cash prize were handed over to the winners.
