BCG Middle East’s Newly-Launched Business Analyst Program Aims at Cultivating the Next Generation of Saudi Leaders

In line with its steadfast commitment to supporting the realization of the Saudi Vision 2030 – and its related strategic goals – The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) has inaugurated a year-long Business Analyst Program in the Kingdom. The initiative is especially designed to help nurture young Saudi talents and equip the nation’s youth with the tools, knowledge, and leadership skills needed to excel in the field of strategy consulting.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 agenda, which serves as a blueprint for the country’s economic diversification, is a comprehensive roadmap for curbing the Kingdom’s dependence on oil. Based on three major pillars – a vibrant societya thriving economy and an ambitious nation – it sheds light on the critical importance of fostering a capable, diverse national workforce made up of both men and women.

In accordance with this ambition, all those enrolled in BCG’s Business Analyst Program will be able to gain first-hand experience working side-by-side with BCG consultants and conducting business analysis for the firm’s vast portfolio of high-profile clients – spanning all BCG practice areas.

“Investing in and developing local talent has long been at the crux of BCG’s global and regional talent management strategy,” said Joerg Hildebrandt, Senior Partner & Managing Director at BCG Middle East. “With this in mind, we are delighted to be launching our Business Analyst Program in Saudi Arabia; we firmly believe that this initiative will help contribute to the creation of a high-potential, dynamic local talent pool in the Kingdom, one that includes both men and women. After all, a robust workforce is a key driver of a diverse, knowledge-based economy.”

BCG’s Business Analyst Program is tailored for outstanding fresh graduates and targeted towards those who performed in the top 10 percent of their university. To start, as part of its ongoing search for talent, BCG has partnered with three universities in Saudi Arabia which are: the King Saud University, Al Faisal University and the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Mineral.

Moving forward, BCG is looking to expand the program to other countries in the GCC.
