Charity Foundation signs agreement with Lulu for Ramadan Meer

As part of its activities for the holy month of Ramadan, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation has concluded an agreement for the implementation of the Ramadan Meer Project 1437 AH / 2016 AD. Within the project, ESAG Charity Foundation will purchase pre-paid cards from the different branches of Lulu Hypermarket all over the UAE. The project is aimed at low-income families to cover their needs and provide them with a variety of food items before the start of the holy month.

The agreement was signed by Mrs Maryam Easa Saleh Al Gurg, Vice Chairperson of Al Gurg Charity Foundation and James Varghese, Regional Director (Dubai & Northern Emirates) of Lulu Group International, in the presence of Mohammed Farouk, Executive Manager of Al Gurg Charity Foundation and Thamban KP, Regional Manager (Dubai & Northern Emirates) of Lulu Group International.

“The project aims to reduce the burden of expenses and cost of basic life requirements for up to 5,000 families who are registered cases at the Al Gurg Charity Foundation. We would like to encourage businessmen and large corporations to support the humanitarian and charitable initiatives,” said Mrs Maryam Easa Saleh Al Gurg, Vice Chairperson of Al Gurg Charity Foundation.

The cards are provided based on individual family needs and according to the number of family members.  Card recipients can choose the necessary goods and foodstuff from various branches of Lulu Hypermarket within the value limits of each card.
