Dubai Customs presents grand prizes to clients during 1st Dubai Customs Week

Dubai Customs is presenting its clients with daily valuable prizes as part of the activities held during the 1st Customs Week, the first-of-its-kind event to be organized by a customs administration worldwide. The Week runs from January 24 to 28 and will concur with the International Customs Day celebrations on January 26. The Dubai Customs Week is being held under the motto ‘Dubai Customs.. A World of Digital Innovations’

Five cars and five motorcycles are being given away throughout the Week. Clients can participate in the draw by logging into www.dubaicustoms.gov.ae or personally visiting one of the customs centers taking part in the Week initiative.

Khalil Saqer bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communication Department at Dubai Customs, said: “Clients can participate and get a chance to win a car or motorcycle daily during the 1st Dubai Customs Week. Participating centers include Jebel Ali & TECOM Customs Management, Cargo Village Customs Center, Dry Port & Ducamz Customs Center, Hatta Border Customs Center, Creek Entry Customs Center (Shendagha), and Umm Suqeim Fishing Harbour. Lucky winners are being announced everyday on Dubai Customs web portal.”

Bin Gharib added that Dubai Customs senior management wants the 30 activities tailored as part of Dubai Customs Week to be two-way and engaging, and serve long-term and mutual interests for all stakeholders. 

Dubai Customs launched the 1st Dubai Customs Week under the patronage of H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, in parallel with the International Customs Day, which will be celebrated this year  under the motto “Digital Customs: Progressive Engagement” to promote the digitalization of Customs process.

Dubai Customs Week was set off at a special ceremony at DC head office, in presence of H.E. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, H.E. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, and H.E. Hani Rashid Al Hamli, Secretary-General of Dubai Economic Council, as well as a host of government officials and private sector figures.
