The Dubai Government Excellence Program under the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai, unveiled three main themes for Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition 2016 which are ‘happiness’, ‘smart transformation’, and ‘achievement’.

 

This followed the announcement of hosting the largest Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) 2016, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, from 11 – 13 April 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

 

Pioneering experiments

 

Commenting on the importance of DIGAE, HE Abdullah Al Shaibani, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Government Excellence Program said: “Dubai has placed a culture of excellence in the Arab region, by creating a globally competitive field of excellence in government innovation. This year, the exhibition will serve as a global platform for government institutions from around the world to review innovative public practices. In addition, it will include creative and innovative activities fall under the main themes of this edition which are happiness, achievement and smart transformation.

 

HE Al Shaibani continued quoting HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, “the vision for our future government, is to develop a government that does not sleep, and provides 24/7 services, 365 days a year. It is a government that is hospitable, efficient with transactions, and strong with procedures. The government of the future will be innovative, flexible, agile and will come up with solutions for all challenges to make people’s lives easier and ensure their happiness.

 

He concluded saying that The Dubai Government Excellence Program works to achieve the highest standards of excellence in public work, promote the shift towards intelligent systems that ensure easier government procedures, and speed up all the processes in completing transactions and services. This is what we seek to achieve through the Dubai International Government's Achievements Exhibition, to be translated into realistic and applicable concepts to mainstream adoption in all areas of government work.”
