Dubai to Host Emirates Forensic in April 2017

Dubai hosts the region’s largest event on forensic science and forensic medicine; Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition, from 2-4 April 2017, at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. The 1st edition of Emirates Forensic will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Dubai Future Foundation under the theme “Digital Forensic Science”.

His Excellency Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-In-Chief of Dubai Police Gen. H.Q., said : “The wise leadership gives forensic science its utmost attention. The leadership is always directing to follow and implement the latest scientific and technical developments in the world. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai inaugurated the new, high-tech premises of the General Department of Criminal Evidence and Criminology. His Highness commended on this amazing technical achievement, which he described as a national scientific edifice for education and training more than security purposes.”

H.H. said: "Dubai Police Headquarters, with all of is centers and departments, has become a beacon of science, learning, training and the application of global educational programs specializing in police legal sciences."

He stressed that the Dubai Police Gen. H.Q., in cooperation and coordination with the police leaders in the UAE and the Ministry of Interior, they will all remain vigilant on the security and stability of our society and the safety of its members and the preservation of public and private property.

The Commander-In-Chief of Dubai Police assured that the conference aims to advance the field of forensic science and criminology in the region by bringing together experts from Asia, Africa, Europe and the American continent, under a single platform to support the development in the forensic science and through the parallel exhibition which will host a fine list of companies and exhibitors, who will put on display and demonstrate the latest techniques, equipment, and solutions in the field of forensic science and criminology.

From his side, Major General. Dr. Ahmad Eid Almansoori, General Director of Forensic Science and Criminology Dept., Dubai Police Hq said: “Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition that is organized by INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions in cooperation with Dubai Police, will provide the ultimate platform that will bring together local and international experts in the field of forensic science to exchange experiences and skills and enrich their knowledge in the field of forensics and criminology, and it will help them stay abreast of the latest scientific developments in the field of forensics through the various topics that will be discussed over the 3 days of the event.”

Major General. Dr. Ahmad Eid Almansoori added: This conference is one of the most prominent academic events, which will bring together experts from the East and the West in an academic meeting that will discuss the challenges faced in the field of criminology and forensic science. The number of participants in the international scientific council has crossed 45 international experts from all over the world from the heads of international organizations and  forensic lab managers from the United States, Britain, Scotland, France, Germany, Australia, Austria, Portugal, the Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Romania, South Korea, in addition to scientists from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and experts from the United Arab Emirates in the criminal field.

From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition and Chairman of INDEX Holding expressed his gratitude for organizing this international and specialized event, he also said: “We have with Dubai Police a very strong relationship, as we always work together to serve our beloved country and that is through organizing leading specialized international conferences that originate from Dubai to the world. This with no doubt reflects the trust given by Dubai Police to our national leading company, and we are proud to organize Emirates International Forensic Conference & Exhibition, which is an international platform that brings together all experts in the field of forensic science from the region and the world through the dedicated conference and exhibition.”

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani also said: “We have put a strategic plan with Dubai Police to promote this event internationally through our offices and partners in different parts of the world, in our efforts to let it become the leading specialized conference in the region. We expect the participation of more than 2,000 participants and visitors to benefit from the conference sessions delivered by prominent international speakers as well as to learn about the latest advances in technology and science through the parallel exhibition, which will bring together more than 80 specialized local and international companies and institutions. This event will also support the development in forensics through the research papers that will be presented. "

Nevertheless, the event is not all exclusive for experts and investigators, as Emirates Forensic caters also to university students, allowing them the opportunity to present their research papers through oral and poster presentations and they will also have the opportunity to participate in the Young Scientist Award Competition. The 1st edition of Emirates Forensic features more than 200 poster presentations presented by local and international participants.
On the other hand, the parallel exhibition will host more than 80 companies that will showcase latest forensic biology analysis equipment, equipment for digital imaging, speech and audio analysis, digital investigation, data analysis, and video enhancement techniques. The exhibition will allow visitors to learn about the latest in forensic analysis of evidence, the analysis of the crime scene, the digital investigation, and latest laboratory equipment.
