An unparalleled beach feeling awaits guests of the luxury Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona this summer. As well as a new sandy beach section, the five-star hotel offers state of-the-art water sports equipment and unique boat trips on Lake Maggiore. In the evening, a fire pit barbecue transforms the Eden Roc Beach into an exclusive event location. 

 

Just in time for the summer season, the Hotel Eden Roc team in Ascona has set up a private beach with white sand, pool pillows and a barbecue station for guests. "We have direct access to the lake and want to make sure our guests can benefit from this opportunity", is how General Manager Daniel Schälli explains the decision to redesign the pergola on the shores of Lake Maggiore. 

 

Guests can now enjoy the incomparable feeling of sand between their toes during yoga sessions in the morning, while swimming during the day, or at a barbecue in the evening. Once a week, Chef Cyrille Kamerzin reveals his personal tips for cooking a piece of meat or crisp vegetables to perfection at the fixed fire pit grill. This is followed by a relaxing barbecue supper. Hotel guests and non-resident visitors can rent the exclusive beach section for private events, whether for a romantic dinner for two or a barbecue party with friends. "Rent your own Beach" is the name of the culinary concept in which guests can choose from three barbecue options ("Grill & Chill", "Classic" or "Caribbean Surf n’ Turf") or work with the pitmaster to create their own individual dinner. The water sports activities and excursions offered by the hotel have been extended by the opening of the Eden Roc Beach. In addition to sailing yachts, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, water skis and wakeboards, three new laser bug sailing dinghies are available to rent. If you would rather take things a little more easily, you can rent a Gandria motor boat (a licence is not required) and be introduced to the art of fishing by an experienced angler. Alternatively, you can glide elegantly over Lake Maggiore, like a film star, on board the classic Riva Aquarama boat. "Our guests will never forget experiences of this kind", explains a contented Daniel Schälli, "and that is what we want to achieve."
