Emirates NBD participates at Careers UAE 2016 for 10th consecutive year

Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, today announced its participation at the Careers UAE 2016 for the 10th consecutive year. The bank will offer spot interviews and admissions to candidates who aspire a career in the high growth banking sector. Taking place fromMay 16 - 18, 2016 in Dubai, the exhibition, which is held exclusively for UAE Nationals, is one of the most established leading recruitment, education and training event in the UAE.

 

Emirates NBD’s participation at the Careers UAE 2016 is in line with the bank’s strategy to boost its Nationalisation efforts. At the exhibition, the bank will make spot offers for successful applications received for ‘Programme for Accelerated Learning’ (PAL), a talent development programme for university graduates.

 

PAL is a six-month intense training programme providing training modules covering a range of areas including, complex banking systems, presentation skills, delegation skills, motivation theories, and coaching and counselling, among others. The training also involves on the job training, equipping PAL trainees to gain banking experience whilst preparing them for a variety of Assistant Manager or Officer roles within the bank.

 

Emirates NBD will also invite applications for a variety of training and mentoring programmes under its Al Misha’al programme, which is targeted at High School graduates. In addition to the training programmes, the bank has also on offer a number of high-impact job vacancies open for applicants with extensive experience in the banking sector.

 

Commenting on the bank’s participation at Careers UAE 2016, Husam Al Sayed, General Manager of Group Human Resources, Emirates NBD, said: “As the biggest bank in the UAE, Emirates NBD has always been a strong supporter of Emiratisation, in line with the UAE’s leadership vision. Our PAL and Al Misha’al programmes reflect our commitment not only to hiring talented UAE Nationals in the banking sector, but also empowering them to be the Emirati leaders of tomorrow.

 

“We are honoured to mark our 10th participation at the Careers UAE 2016, as we step up the bank’s Nationalisation efforts by offering candidates on the spot interviews and admissions.”

 

Since the launch of PAL programme in 2005, the initiative has gone from strength to strength. The bank has graduated high caliber young Emirati Nationals, providing them with opportunities to take up critical job roles in different areas of the bank.

 

Emirates NBD also provides a variety of training and mentoring programmes under its Al Misha’al programme, which is targeted at High School graduates. The programme inducts high school graduates into the bank following three months of rigorous training in various job-related subjects such as banking operations, branch automation, and customer service, among others.

 

Emirates NBD has adopted an ambitious Emiratisation strategy built on supporting and participating in the various initiatives and events across the UAE. In this context, Emirates NBD is a regular participant in the various career fairs and works closely with TANMIA, Zayed University, the Higher Colleges of Technology, and various educational organisations to identify and attract potential talent.
