Believing in the importance of women's role in social development and national progress, and in recognition of Emirati women’s contribution to boosting innovation and creativity, Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, is celebrating the UAE Women's Day under the theme "Women and Innovation".

 

The celebrations are in line with national events launched last year by HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, who earmarked 28th of August  as Emirati Women’s Day. 

 

 

“UAE women have been playing a key role in community service, apart from helping raise generations  of productive children who are now the pride of the nation, taking the UAE to the ranks of developed nations in a short period of time," said HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

 

 

“Empower is grateful to HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, for her role in boosting the contribution of women, and we also appreciate all the women of the UAE for their contribution to the progress of the country,” he added.

 

 

Bin Shafar stressed on Empower’s commitment to strengthening the position of women in society through strong leadership by overcoming all obstacles on the way. “Empower believes there is no limit to Emirati women’s ambitions, as young UAE women have become objects of admiration globally, due to excellence at professional levels, scientific research and leadership positions, especially in ministerial positions in the new cabinet," HE bin Shafar said.

 

Speaking about the role of women in Empower, he said: “Emirati women have demonstrated their potential and skills through professionalism and performance. Our employees have been role models and have major impact on daily activities, in addition to participation in formulating plans and strategies.”

 

 

“We look forward to the emergence of more Emirati women having a relentless drive and limitless aspirations to work for UAE society and the nation,” He added.
