As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR),Empower, the world’s largest district cooling services provider, joined hands with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) to organise a blood donation campaign for its employees. Around 60donors took part in the event held at Empower headquarters in Al Hudaiba, Dubai.

 

HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chief Executive Officer of Empower expressed delight on the campaign’s turnout. “This blood donation campaign is in line with the other community campaigns we do throughout the year. We strive to strengthen Empower’s engagement in the community and continue to activate its social role. We are pleased with the donors’ response to support this humanitarian cause.”

 

“We understand that our scope of business is not only limited to providing efficient district cooling service, but our responsibility lies ingiving back to the community which contributed to making Empower the world’s largest district cooling services provider. Unarguably, CSR should bea crucial part of every company’sstrategy,” added Bin Shafar.

 

Empower is conducting Blood Donation Campaigns over a decade for Blood Donation Centre. In 2015 only, it has organised several campaigns including the one that coincided with the World Blood Donor Day, and others aimed to support various causes, including but not limited to thalassemia centre, government and private hospitals, etc.

 

DHA allocated amobile van in Block A of Al Hudaiba Awards Building to conduct the campaign. “Such noble campaigns contribute to rescue patients who are in dire need of a drop of blood,” concluded Bin Shafar.

 

Empower currently operates more than one Million hundred thousand RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, among others.
