In March 2019, Huawei launched its official community as a gathering place for global Huawei users. Now the company is launching its first ever emoji design contest, helping build a more customized and diverse community. The contest was introduced to attract well-designed, creative and original emojis in response to the global userbase’s appeal for a more inspiring and personalized community.

 

The contest runs from June 13thand the deadline for submission is June 29thBeijing time. Designers can go to Huawei official community (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/community/details/?topicId=9725) to submit their design works. For non-designer participants, the voting and lucky draw runs from July 1stto July 7th.

 

Global designers can take part in the contest by designing eight or more emojis, drawing inspiration from key elements of Huawei products. The winning designs will be added to the community for use by Huawei fans all around the world. Winners will receive great prizes such as a Huawei P30 Pro, MediaPad M5 Lite, Huawei Watch GT and more.

 

This contest is the first professional and creative contest to be organized by the Huawei Community and is the starting point for a bigger design project, which will be see a series of competitions focused on the design of key OS elements, such as wallpaper, app icon and EMUI theme. The project is open to designers and users around the world, creating a great community platform for designers to collaborate with fellow Huawei users.

 

By launching inspiring contests and events, the Huawei Community will create a lively community discussion environment, and enable users to build their own community, where all unique creations are appreciated, fun activities are anticipated, and communications are valued. Together with global fans, the Huawei Community will become a central hub for all Huawei lovers!
