Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, received in his office at the Ministry of Interior, First Lieutenant Hamed Salim Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, who obtained a distinguished certificate in the police and security fields from the NYPD Police Academy. With this certificate, First Lieutenant Al Nuaimi becomes the first Arab Emirati officer to graduate from this prestigious Academy, alongside 1100 US policemen.

 

His Highness congratulated First Lieutenant Hamed Al Nuaimi for this outstanding achievement and urged him to pursue further efforts, educational attainment and skills in various professional and development areas. Sheikh Saif also praised the distinguished relations between the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America, within the exchange of expertise between the Ministry of Interior and the New York Police, so as to enhance efforts in community service.

 

His Highness Sheikh Saif expressed his appreciation for the academic achievements of Emirati nationals. He said: “Emirati nationals are role models and a source of pride for the police institution, which has been reinforced with a growing number of members with distinguished certificates in critical and modern disciplines that serve police work. 

 

For his part, First Lieutenant Al Nuaimi stressed his keenness to pursue further excellence to achieve higher academic attainment, as per His Highness’s directives to serve the best interests of the community. He also praised the great attention dedicated by the police leadership to qualify its human cadres, and provide them with the opportunities to study in world-class universities and academies.

 

He also expressed his heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Police Attaché’s Office in the United States, for their support to enable him to pursue his academic attainment, which has had a significant impact on motivating him to achieve academic excellence. He praised the efforts made by the prestigious NYPD Police Academy that contributed to his training, according to the best international policing standards.

 

It is worth mentioning that First Lieutenant Hamed Salim Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi has successfully passed the academic requirements at the prestigious NYDP Academy during a program that included police sciences and knowledge, as well as leadership training; theoretical and practical legal lectures; and planning and execution of security scenarios. The program also included live pursuits, use of weapons, target practice and physical fitness training courses, according to the finest international levels.
