SAUDIA Relaunches Seasonal Route to Malaga with Airport Celebration

Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA), the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has officially relaunched direct flights connecting the Kingdom with the southern Spanish city of Malaga. SAUDIA will operate weekly flights from Riyadh and Jeddah, with the first flight on Wednesday, June 28, 2022.

Boasting 16 sunny beaches, the Andalusian city sits on the shores of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Malaga is renowned for its combination of culture, cuisine, lively atmosphere, and contemporary art installations, where travellers can experience a variety of interactive exhibits.

Following the flight’s departure from the capital city, a ceremony was held at King Khalid International Airport on June 28th, in the attendance of Mr. Jorge Hevia Sierra, Ambassador of the Embassy of Spain, and Capt. Ibrahim Koshy, CEO of SAUDIA . 

The seasonal route is scheduled to operate two return trips weekly from Riyadh and Jeddah. The total journey time from King Khalid International Airport to Malaga International Airport (AGP) is six hours and 50 minutes and from Jeddah to Malaga, six hours and 15 minutes.

The route utilizes the flag carrier’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, providing 24 seats in business class and 274 seats in economy class.
