The Ripe Food & Craft Market opened a special New Year edition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dubai Shopping Festival organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

The Ripe Market is one of the numerous events and activities that have been lined up for families, as part of the milestone edition of DSF, which runs from 1 January to 1 February 2015 under the theme “20th Anniversary – A Journey of Celebrations”.

The Ripe Food & Craft Market at Zabeel Park offers families and children an ideal outdoor venue to connect with the community, shop for locally-produced foods and others items in a lively alfresco location, and support talented local artisans and small business owners.

As Dubai’s favourite organic farmers market, Ripe Food & Craft Market is a great way for both locals and expats to catch up with friends and family and for foodies to taste a spread of amazing healthy treats. Those looking for an alternative to indoor supermarket experience can also head to the market to pick up the best, locally grown and produced fruits and vegetables in a beautiful outdoor setting. Also in store are other grocery items including a variety of cheeses, honey, nuts, spices, oils and much more.

The market can be accessed from Zabeel Park’s Gate 1 and is open on 2 January from 9am to 5pm, 3 January from 1pm to 5pm and from 9am until 4pm every other Friday.

Families looking to engage in creative activities will also be spoilt for choice at the market. The community imitative offers diverse crafts activities and a petting zoo for kids in addition to numerous stalls selling artistic pieces, photography creations, household objects, accessories and beauty products.

The Ripe Food & Craft Market is held as part of DSF’s Etisalat Festive Park – a new concept by DFRE and Etisalat featuring numerous fun-filled family-friendly events and activities at Zabeel Park. In addition to the Ripe Food & Craft Market, visitors to the Etisalat Festive Park can enjoy many entertaining attractions such as “The Circus Comes to Town” and also watch ‘The Masters of the  House’ musical show, while children can participate in various fun competitions like the inflatable Knock –out Games.
