University of Ulsan To Take Part In 7th Gulf Conference in Jeddah

 Founded in 1970 as an engineering-specialized school by the internationally famous Hyundai Business Group, the University Ulsan (UOU) has rapidly grown into a prestigious academic institution with 11 colleges and 7 graduate schools.

 

 “Since its establishment, UOU is proud of being one of the best private universities in Korea, and continues to be a creative institution with the help of Ulsan Metropolitan City, Hyundai Heavy Industries and other world-class corporations in Ulsan,” a university spokesperson said in a press communiqué. “The founding spirit of the university is to transform students into creative and competitive professionals.”

 

He said UOU is putting a great effort in the ‘Industry-University Cooperation’ project to transform the students into competitive professionals of the 21st century.

 

The university specializes in naval architecture and ocean engineering, mechanical and automotive engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, chemical engineering and business administration.

 

“Industry Cooperation Professor System and Long-term Professional Internship are the two representative programs of the ‘Industry-University Cooperation’ project of UOU, the official said.

The University which is participating in the 7th Annual Gulf Education Conference and Exhibition on 20-21st February at the University of Business and Technology (UBT), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, enjoys close links with academic and industry partners across the globe.

 

The two-day Gulf Education Conference is committed to supporting global education programs through student recruitment as well as facilitating partnerships between international institutions, academies, schools, and universities with Ministries of Education from the MENA region. 

 

Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world's largest shipbuilding company, is currently the legal owner and financial sponsor of UOU.
