College Of Desert Buoyed Over Participation In Gulf Education Confab

College of the Desert (COD) is pleased to participate in the 7th Annual Gulf Education Conference at the prestigious University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 20-21 February.

COD is a thriving community college located in exciting Southern California.  Surrounded by majestic mountains, covered in lush palm trees, and bathed in sunshine for more than 300 days a year, the campus is truly an inspiring place to study.

Pursuing an associate’s degree in one of over 55 academic fields at COD gives undergraduate students the opportunity to save money, to gain a better focus on their academic and career goals, and to benefit from the high regard many universities have for COD transfer students and our supportive 2+2 bachelor’s degree pathway program.

University transfer success is a passion at COD.  Our faculty, counselors, and staff are focused on helping students transfer to the best fit public and private universities throughout the United States, such as UCLA, UC Berkeley, Stanford University and many more.  In fact, many prestigious universities offer guaranteed transfer admission to COD’s international students without requiring the SAT.

For students with low English proficiency, COD has a supportive Intensive English Academy that quickly and comprehensively prepares students for college-level academic programs.

With total estimated annual expenses less than $19,000, COD is one of the best-value colleges in California.  COD is also the fastest growing community college in California and a recent recipient of the prestigious Bellwether Award for excellence in instructional programs and services.

The University of Business and Technology (UBT), Jeddah, is hosting the event wherein some 150 exhibitors and sponsors including some big names in the education sector are expected to participate.
