Tank Integrity & Terminal Safety Summit Africa 2026

The Tank Integrity & Terminal Safety Summit Africa 2026 will take place under the theme “Protecting the Infrastructure That Keeps South Africa Moving,” bringing industry stakeholders together to address the safety, integrity and long-term reliability of critical storage and terminal infrastructure.  
Organised by Cogent Solutions, the Summit is expected to welcome 250+ industry professionals and 35+ expert speakers, including senior executives and technical decision-makers from tank terminal and storage operators, refineries, petrochemical companies, engineering firms, regulatory authorities and safety organisations.     
Through panel discussions, technical briefings and practical case studies, the programme will explore the challenges of managing ageing storage assets, extending tank life, preventing corrosion and strengthening inspection programmes. Discussions will examine underground storage risks, environmental exposure and leak detection, alongside advanced approaches such as robotic and drone inspections and risk-based inspection frameworks.     
The agenda will also address terminal efficiency, automation, infrastructure upgrades and the investment decisions surrounding retrofits and new facilities. Dedicated sessions on fire prevention, integrated safety systems and lessons from tank failures will connect technical insight with practical operational priorities. Structured networking will provide opportunities for operator–vendor discussions and project-focused meetings.  
By bringing together operational experience, regulatory perspectives and engineering expertise, the Summit will focus on a shared priority: protecting storage infrastructure to strengthen South Africa’s energy security.
