 Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, has appointed Dr. Jasir bin Sulaiman Al-Herbish as Chief Executive Officer of the Heritage Commission, as part of the Ministry of Culture's efforts to organize and develop the heritage sector.
The Heritage Commission will have a set of tasks for the purpose of organizing and developing the heritage sector, such as drawing up a strategy for developing the sector and following up its implementation under the supervision of the Ministry, licensing activities related to the heritage field, in addition to setting up the sector's specific regulations and encouraging financing and investment in areas related to the commission's competence. The commission will also provide training courses and professional programs, in addition to supporting the protection of intellectual property rights in areas related to heritage.
