Dubai Customs has wrapped up  its exceling participation at the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE) 2016. Its stand attracted crowds of exhibition-goers from government leaders, VIPs and decision makers flocked to the Dubai Customs pavilion at the 3-day fair, which was held at the World Trade Centre, under an eloquent motto ‘Local Governments, Global Achievements’.

Top government officials spoke highly of the ground-breaking smart initiatives introduced by Dubai Customs at the show. HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Georgian Prime Minister, Abdulla Al Shaibani, Dubai Executive Council Secretary-General and Chairman of DGEP, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, were all smiles as they watched the top-notch projects brought on display by Dubai Customs at the DIGAE 2016. 

Moreover, Dr Ahmed Al Nuseirat, General Coordinator at Dubai Government Excellence Program, and Humid Al Qatami, Chairman and Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, praised Dubai Customs for its steadfast effort and significant contributions to serving the UAE and establishing a solid national economy based on legitimate trade. 

Dubai Customs, stated HE Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, the Director of Dubai Customs, was very much keen to be part of the DIGAE 2016, to help spread the culture of government excellence on a wider scale. “

Dubai Customs’ pavilion was themed ‘Customs achievements.. World-class standards’, for it exhibited the latest in Customs work globally,” he said.

On the other hand, the Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence at Dubai Customs Mr Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim said, “We had an overwhelming response from the people who visited our stand and relished our cutting-edge offerings aimed at improving our Customs business while also making the world better and happier.”

Our successful participation at this year’s first internationalized Dubai Government Achievements Exhibition is prompting us to come up with even greater  Customs innovations for next year, added Mr. Abdul Salam Kazim.   

The Customs initiatives showcased at this year’s exhibition included the Virtual Corridor, Smart Enterprise Capability, Enterprise Case Management, Smart Inspection Glasses, Smart Workspace, the Authorized Economic Operator Program.
