Global engineering and sales graduates pursue Dubai dream

UAE is currently witnessing an increase in demand for skilled talent, especially sales and engineering positions as their demand continues to soar high, according to Dulsco. The Dulsco HR team has witnessed a 13% increase in job applications received in Q2 compared to Q1 which shows positive outlook from prospective candidates. Dulsco is a regional pioneer in human resource and waste management solutions.

The job applications received by Dulsco included sales, engineering, IT, finance and audit, administrative and company secretary positions among other industry sectors.

“UAE economy is steadily accelerating. The government has been relentlessly striving to ensure better standards of living for its residents and tourists and providing the best business environments. The country provides a safe productive and supportive ambience which aids in enhancing the lifestyle of the residents and is a classic example for the visitors. The country has generated more jobs and business opportunities that will support the nation’s GDP in the near future,” said S.Balakumar, Managing Director of Dulsco.

The economic growth of UAE is indicative of the fact that many industry sectors are doing well on all fronts. Key government economic policies and the state of the art infrastructure have been the crux and the driving force in bolstering the UAE economy. As per reports, the aviation industry is expected to contribute 32 percent to Dubai’s GDP by 2020.

“The increase in the number of CVs that we have received is a key indicator that prospective candidates are on a look out for Dubai as a preferred place to work. Dubai is rated as one of the best places to live and work. The candidates have applied from countries such as Kuwait, Ghana, Qatar, India, UAE, Sri Lanka, Saudi, Canada, Tunisia, Australia, UK, Pakistan, Jordan,  Indonesia, Egypt, Czech Republic, Netherlands, France, Bahrain and Malaysia,” added Balakumar.

UAE economy has registered growth over the past few years and EXPO2020 event will further carve a niche in contributing to the national economy. The event is set to generate thousands of new job opportunities, and attract more than 25 million tourists - accelerating tourism to never-seen-before levels. This is definitely a win-win situation for the country, government, business organisations and regions of the Middle East.

“A surge in jobs is anticipated from the last quarter of this year as the economy in the UAE is projected to boom thanks to the upcoming events season which would boost the hiring spree. With large number of events scheduled to take place from September onwards, the post summer season will be a demanding period for construction, retail, logistics, hospitality, airlines and others industries. To keep up with the ever increasing competition, and onset of preparation for EXPO2020, companies are hiring candidates to support them,” concluded Balakumar.

Dulsco has bagged the 2015 Superbrand award. Over 1,500 leading brands in the UAE vied for the Superbrands title, however, only 55 were declared Superbrands by the Brand Council.  Dulsco is the only waste management company and among very few HR solution providers in the region to be awarded the Superbrand status.
