Light a Smile and Make a Wish Come True this Eid

Festive wish-lists of children these days are getting longer and fancier. And it is no surprise that parents complain of buying costly gifts to get their children each year during Eid. But, what would a child with special needs want for Eid?

The wish list might be much simpler than you thought it would be.

Special needs children wish for gifts that instill hope and create happy memories; they wish for a place which resonates their passion regardless of their disabilities; they wish for their centre (which they call home) to be in harmony with their needs.

And this Eid Al Noor Training Centre gives you the power to make such a wish come true!

You can contribute by aiding the center with amenities and items that they will be able to utilize and enjoy, not just once, but many times; and every time they use it, you will know that your contribution was able to do something special for the Al Noor family. Granting a wish is a small step towards Al Noor’s goal of being a state of the art centre

Al Noor Training Centre, the pioneers in delivering quality education to students with special needs for 35 years is a non-profit organization with no source of official or regular funding. The students’ annual fees at the centre are subsidized at 40%. In order to continue to manage the infrastructure and deliver quality training to the special needs community in Dubai, fundraising becomes an enormous task for the Centre. It is also important to understand that various units require maintenance, equipment upgradation and advanced educational materials that help enhance the students’ training programs and therapies. The wish list is thus an incredible way to help meet the gap and empower the centre to keep up with its mission.

The best thing is that the wish list has a flexible range, starting from AED. 500 and above to suit all pocket sizes. From hi-tech wheelchairs for the assistive technology unit to skateboards for the sports unit; to edible ingredients for the bakery to art and craft items for the creative unit – you can choose any gift as per your budget and contribute. Every big and small contribution will benefit not only the students but aid staff and management to deliver enhanced services, whose relentless efforts make things possible.

Ms. Isphana Al Khatib, Director, Al Noor Training Centre, expressed, “The Al Noor wish list is not only about making a donation, it is about making a difference. We appeal to corporates and individuals to come forward and generously contribute so that it helps us cover the running cost of the Centre this academic year. Eid being round the corner, gives us more reason to make a wish come true.”

In addition to raising funds, this initiative also aim at creating awareness in the community about the Centre’s program as well as the larger cause of disability.
