Mall of the Emirates, Majid Al Futtaim’s flagship lifestyle and luxury shopping destination, welcomed 100 children from the charity, the Red Crescent, as part of the Majid Al Futtaim’s ‘Take a moment to give a moment this festive season’ campaign. The collaborative initiative with the Red Crescent, which kicked off in December 2015, invited customers of Magic Planet, Ski Dubai, Carrefour and VOX Cinemas to make a donation towards creating a great moment for an orphaned child. Each customer of a participating outlet was offered the opportunity to match their total purchase amount or donate a percentage of their purchase towards the charitable cause.

At 9am on Friday 12th February the children arrived to the mall full of excitement and anticipation looking forward to a day of surprises.  First off, at Ski Dubai, the little ones slid down the slopes on toboggans, followed by a fun-filled hour of making snowballs and playing in the Snow Park. 

Next up, at Magic Plant the kids played a variety of amusements, barely containing their enthusiasm at the sheer choice of games; from car simulators, the classic ‘grab a teddy’ game to dance challenges. 

Winding down with an epic experience at the new VOX Cinemas, the children watched the hugely popular movie ‘The Good Dinosaur’ – a tale of love and persistence – while munching on popcorn and drinks. For lunch, 800 degrees Pizza, known for their tailor-made pizza, kindly sponsored the children’s lunch providing a delicious meal and rounded off a great day of great moments for the kids from the Red Crescent.
