The newly renamed Dubai Winter Festival is inviting families to go on a magical journey with some of the most loved fairy-tale characters. Peter Pan’s Christmas Adventure will be the theme of this year’s pantomime and  UK West End stars ‘Leading Lights Productions’ will be performing Peter Pan’s Christmas Adventure alongside characters including Jack (from Jack and the  Beanstalk), Dame (Jack’s mother), Snow White and the Fairy Godmother.

The Dubai Winter Festival (formerly known as the Dubai Christmas Festival) has now moved to the World Trade Centre, and will be hosted from December 17-19. Kids will be encouraged to dress as their favourite character from the popular children’s tale to make it a truly immersive experience.

“Peter Pan’s sense of adventure, fearless attitude and endearing loyalty are traits that can be inspiring to everyone young and old,” said Chris Fountain, Manging Director of Turret Media, the organisers of Dubai Winter Festival. “This will be a show for the whole family and will transport guests into a mystical world of magic and wonderment. We can’t wait to see all the children, and adults, dressed up as their favourite characters.”

The scene is set in an enchanted land, where the Fairy Godmother tells of a mystical star that is shining bright in the sky.  All the characters at Fairy-tale land are puzzled as to why the star is there, and Jack and his mother, along with the beautiful Snow White, decide to track the star and see where it leads. They discover they have to travel through the haunted forest where along their journey, they are confronted by ghosts and ghouls. Finally, once they pass through the forest they come to realise that the bright star is in fact not a star at all. It is the boy who never grows up, Peter Pan, who is on a worldwide search for the perfect place to spend Christmas and he’s finally found it!  Here in Dubai. All that is missing is snow which the fairy Godmother is able to grant – it’s the perfect Christmas gift.

Now in its fourth year, the Dubai Winter Festival remains the UAE’s number one festive celebration, with everything you love about Christmas in one place, including plenty of seasonal features for the whole family to enjoy.
