On the 20th of November 2015, Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana team put on their training shoes and run the extra mile by participating in a non-stop six hour relay run on a treadmill located in the hotel’s lobby. Guests were present to support this event happening between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm and encourage the participants while they were running, jogging and walking more than 60 kilometres for this cause.

 

“We were more than delighted to exceed our limits for such a cause. The children and their future has been our strength and motivation”, said Naji Esta, Executive Assistant Manager at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana. “It was amazing to run together for Help and Health while having Fun”.

 

This event is also a part of the Universal Children's Day, established by the United Nations in 1954, to encourage understanding between children and promote children's welfare around the world. Children are the future and they should be well educated, protected and safe all around the globe.

 

Charitable donations were also collected from supporters which ran hand in hand to raise awareness for the worthwhile initiative of the 7 Emirates Run. The event was concluded with a final 15 minutes run by Wendelin Lauxen, the founder and initiator of the 7 Emirates run, as well as a Guinness World Record holder who strongly aim at initiating a charity run to help children with extreme congenital limb deformities.

                                 

The fourth annual edition of the official run started on the 21st of November from Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana. Naji Esta, the Executive Assistant Manager of the hotel had the honour of conducting the ribbon-cutting ceremony with the CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, Dr. Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, which inaugurated the 12-day 575 km cross-Emirate run. The run will continue till the 2nd of December, 2015 and will be the perfect opportunity to experience a real adventure while helping children get back on their feet.
