Shurooq Announces its 11th Edition of Eiman Oasis Ramadan Event

Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has announced its annual Ramadan Eiman Oasis that forms part of its continuous dedication to create an ideal environment for Sharjah residents during the holy month. The event, which is being held in association with the Sharjah Islamic Affairs, is scheduled to run from June 8 - 18 (3 - 13 of Ramadan 1437 A.H.). This year, the 11th edition is also in association with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center.

Shurooq’s initiative behind the Eiman Oasis is to position Sharjah as a source for tranquility, faith and peace which will shine its light to all residents and visitors during Ramadan. The 11th edition of the event will feature 12 professional and specialised Islamic scholars delivering a total of 19 seminars and lectures on a variety of religious topics, such as the importance of respecting elders, obeying parents and appreciating the vital role of women in Arab societies, among others. Its aim is to nourish the souls of worshippers during Ramadan’s holy nights by providing educational, spiritual and social lectures on the different attributes to faith.

Eiman Oasis’s talks and presentations will take place across three key mosques in Sharjah; the Ahmad Bin Hanbal Mosque in the city of Sharjah, which will host 11 seminars, and the Omar Bin Khattab Mosque in the city of Khorfakkan and the Huda Mosque, each of which will each host four seminars.

Speaking on personal and spiritual motivations during the 11th Eiman Oasis will be Sheikh Saleh Abdulkarim, who will deliver his seminar at Ahmad Bin Hanbla Mosque in Sharjah. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Hisham Tahiri will provide two seminars during the 9th of Ramadan (14th June) at the Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque; the first one highlighting key requirements for Muslims to perform in order to project a more respectful image towards their elders, family member and parents and the second focusing on channelling one’s deeds towards achieving success.

Additional scholars and preachers to be hosted across the three mosques in Sharjah also include Sheikh Dr. Saleh Abdul Kareem, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Hammadi, Sheikh Saud Mlouh Al Anzi, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Muslim, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Askar, Sheikh Dr. Saleh Al Sahimi Al Harbi, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Kamali, Sheikh Hamad AbdulAziz Al Atiq, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Hisham Tahiri, Sheikh Jassim Al Obaidli and Sheikh Daham Kareem Al Fadli.

Ahmad Obaid Al Qaseer, COO of Shurooq, said: “The reason we established the Eiman Oasis, which is now in its 11th successful incarnation, is to support the emirate’s social environment which promotes the virtues and values of worship and education, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. Our role as an investment authority is to continuously deliver initiatives that cater to the needs and demands of our residents, as well as provide them with all means necessary to facilitate their spiritual requirements and their worship during Ramadan.”
