HE Ahmed Mahboob Musbih, Director of Dubai Customs, announced the participation of Dubai Customs in the ‘Dubai International Government Achievement Exhibition’ (DIGAE) 2016 to be hosted by the Dubai Government Excellence Program under the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai.

 

The three-day show will be held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, from 11 – 13 April 2016 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

 

“We continuously work on developing and deploying latest smart applications to offer world-class services to our customers. For example, we have developed ‘Virtual Corridor’ to enhance the overall trade sector and facilitate goods movements.”

 

DIGAE’s 2016 theme will be ‘Local Government and Global Achievements’. The fourth edition will include partnerships between the many departments within the framework of providing innovative services and service for residents and visitors. This exhibition will highlight integration among government departments to deliver quality services to customers, the public and enhance the level of happiness and satisfaction in these services in line with the vision of Dubai.

 

Talking about their participation at the event, HE Musbih added that DIGAE emerged as a renowned global event as it showcases initiatives in public services that are success stories across the world.

 

Commenting on the trade performance of the Emirate of Dubai, HE Musbih added that Dubai non oil external trade jumped over AED 966 billion from January-September 2015. “Dubai’s external trade has been achieving positive growth while supporting the national economy’s growth through diversifying markets and goods,” he added. 

 

DIGAE is a government initiative that aims to attract local government departments and institutions in Dubai to participate and put on display practical achievements and initiatives. This exhibition comes in line with the UAE Vision 2021 that calls for excellence at the international level. The exhibition promotes the excellence in government work in Dubai providing the best quality services to customers, institutions and individuals alike.
