Higher Organising Committee of Pink Caravan, a pan-UAE breast cancer awareness initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP), will hold a press conference, on the 22nd of February (tomorrow) at 10:30 am in The Executive Office of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Sharjah. The Press Conference will reveal the details of 2016’s Ride and will announce its new activities and events.

 

Pink Caravan had earlier announced Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Founder and Royal Patron of the Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP), International Ambassador of the World Cancer Declaration for Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and International Ambassador for Childhood Cancer for UICC, approval of 2016’s ride which will take place between 7 – 17 of March 2016. 

 

The Pink Caravan was founded in 2011 under the directives and with the support of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Founder and Royal Patron of FoCP,  International Ambassador of the World Cancer Declaration for Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and International Ambassador for Childhood Cancer for UICC and Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. To date Pink Caravan has successful screened 36,332 men and women, including 7,873 men, of different nationalities and ages. Since its inception, it has strived to raise awareness of the importance of early detection and regular check-ups among citizens and residents of the UAE, to dispel myths surrounding the disease and to lobby for a national cancer registry.
