Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, led by General Manager Iftikhar Hamdani, received Wyndham Hotel Group executives, and the general managers of Wyndham-branded properties in the UAE at its urban farm. Hamdani gave a tour of the 430 square metre farm, which grows seasonal crops and vegetables and elaborated on the other green initiatives of the property. On hosting the group, he said, “the timing is ideal as we have just started planting more crops for the new season. We also have an open invitation to other hoteliers; they are all welcome to drop to know more about our environmental practices.”
Michael Zager, Regional Vice-President, Middle East and Africa, Wyndham Hotel Group, commented: “Ramada Ajman has been a pioneer in green initiatives for the hospitality sector and I would like to commend the team for all their efforts, especially on their recent achievement, the Green Globe certification. Their contribution in spreading awareness and sharing good practices on sustainability are noteworthy and we look forward to seeing more hotels on board towards the green track.”
